Astrinova is an independent science publication. This page explains what information is collected from visitors to astrinova.io, how it is used, and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and content you submit. Your email address is never published or shared, it exists only so we can identify repeat commenters and, if needed, contact you about your comment.
- Newsletter signups. If you subscribe for new-article notifications, we store only your email address. It is used solely to email you when a new article publishes, nothing else, no marketing sequences. Every notification email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Contact form. If you reach out through our Contact page, we collect whatever you submit there (typically name, email, and message) to respond to you.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and caching infrastructure logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or share your email address with third parties.
- We don’t run third-party advertising trackers.
- We don’t send marketing emails beyond the plain new-article notice described above.
Cookies
Astrinova uses minimal cookies required for basic site function (such as remembering your dark mode preference) and caching. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising tracking.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you, comments, newsletter subscription, or contact form submissions, at any time. To unsubscribe from new-article emails, use the link at the bottom of any notification email, or contact us directly. To request deletion of a comment or your data, reach out via our Contact page.
Third-party services
Astrinova is hosted on Hostinger and uses LiteSpeed Cache for performance. Our SEO is managed with Rank Math. None of these services are used to sell your data to advertisers.
